My name is Abhijith Shenoy K. Schooling - Sri Aurobindo Memorial School, Bangalore. PUC, B.Com & Hindi course in Mass Communication - Sri Bhagawan Mahaveer Jain College, Bangalore. Diploma in International Trade - Northern Institute of Tafe, Australia. M.Com from KSOU, Mysore. Presently pursuing distance MBA in HR from ICFAI. Initiated into music by Grandparents - Sri Karki Gopal Krishna Shenoy & Shrimati Radha Shenoy K, and Parents - Sri Satish Shenoy K & Shrimati Shweta Shenoy K. Learning Hindustani vocal from Pt. D B Harindra from 22 years. Also learnt from Pt. Ramchandra Janthalli of Hubli. All-India -Radio artist. Receipent of Aryabhatta award and Yuva Chandrahaasa Purasakara. 150 classical bandishes under the name - "ABHIRANG". Working as the Learning and Development Executive at MANAS CENTRE FOR TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT PVT LTD, Bangalore. I take Music Classes in Hindustani Vocal at home in the evenings.

My younger brother Adarsh Shenoy K started his training in Tabla at the tender age of 8 under Sri Nagaraj Rao Gaikwad, who built in him a strong foundation of the basics of the Delhi and Ajrada Gharanas. Later he undertook training in the Faroukhabad style under Pandit Rajgopal Kallurkar from the year 1999, with whom he is training at present. One of the youngest Tabla players to be awarded with a B-High grade by the All India Radio, Bangalore at the age of 18. He has given many programs on the Radio and TV. Recipient of many scholarships like the CCRT scholarship from the Govt. of India, scholarship from the State govt. of Karnataka and the Sursagar Scholarship. Awarded the Best Junior Tabla Player award by the Sri Rama Seva Mandali, Fort High School. Winner of the Rotary Club music instrumental competitions for 4 years in a row during his school days. Represented the Bangalore University at the south zone university competitions and was selected to represent the south zone at the nationals. Part of the Jain College Group Song team which has been the All India Champion at the National Level Group Song Competition organized by the Bharat Vikas Parishad. Completed his Vidwath exam in Tabla from the Karnataka State Board and Sangeet Alankar from the Gandharva Mahavidyalaya Mandal of Maharashtra. He is currently pursuing another Music course under the Khairagad University. Keen interest in innovation led him to foray into the fields of carnatic music and fusion music as well. He is currently undertaking training in the Carnatic tala system under Vidwan Sri Anoor Ananthakrishna Sharma, a very senior and respected Mridangam Artist from Bangalore. Now a regular performer in various Taala vaadyasand ensembles. Has been part of various groups like Laya Lahari, Mangal Dhwani, RARE and Nandi Taala Vaadya. He has also successfully ventured into Fusion music and is the Founder member of a classical instrumental fusion band called Vidyouth, which comprises of young musicians from the Hindustani, Carnatic and Western forms of Music. HAs accompanied artists like Pt. Nandakishore Muley, Vidushi Aruna Sairam, Prakash Sontakke, Pramod Gaikwad, Pt. Santosh Nahar, Sameera L Rao, Suhas Mitra, Jayanth Kumar Das, Akash Kumar Etc. He has also been part of many jugalbandi concerts and has given Tabla solo recitals as well. His keen sense of rhythm and dexterity has been appreciated by connoisseurs of music, apart from young and old audiences alike. He has played alongside western musicians like Mike Herting & Glen Rogers and some of Bangalore’s rock musicians like Bruce Lee Mani, Sunil Chandy & Rhzude in fusion shows.
